Fingal Co Council plans to demolish Heavey’s buildings and to build a cultural centre, including a new county library, theatre, arts centre and civic space as the key development within the “Swords Cultural Quarter”

The consultants stated that with passenger numbers forecasted to reach 40 million passengers per annum by 2030, "the sustainable growth of the airport is paramount".
