Lunchtime music series proves a big hit in Ballina

Hope Gillespie will perform at Ballina Arts Centre on Wednesday, July 17th, as part of its Music @ Lunchtime series.

Ballina Arts Centre's Music @ Lunchtime series is proving to be a huge hit with local audiences. Over 50 people attended the last event with pianist William Reape.

On this Wednesday, July 17th, it is the turn of local singer songwriter Hope Gillespie. Hope has been singing since she was five and has been involved in various musicals and other events in Ballina over the years. She is currently studying music at Queen’s University in Belfast. She has performed both as a solo artist and in a number of shows. She will treat the audience to a selection of Jazz, blues, soul and even a few originals.

The Music @ Lunchtime concerts have been organised so that people working in the town can pop down to the centre during their lunch break and enjoy free live music with their sandwich. They start at 1.15pm and end at 1.45pm sharp, to enable people to get to and from their place of work. Coffee, tea and even a glass of wine are available at the venue. The concerts are running on Wednesdays throughout June and July and will feature well known and soon to be known artists.
