Cois Cuain in Belmullet will be taking on the challenge of 1000k for the month of February in memory of a very special girl Lauren Padden. They will be walking, running, swimming cycling whatever it takes to hit their target for funds for Cancer Care West.
As some may know last January, Shelley and Martin received a phone call no parent wants to receive, the news that they had lost their beautiful daughter in a tragic accident. Lauren was a very well-known bubbly character, she was the fun to everything and is missed dearly by her family and friends. Shelley (Lauren’s mum) and the rest of the staff at Cois Cuain will be honoured to be doing this challenge in memory of her.
Her friend/co-worker Mary is currently undergoing her battle with cancer and thankfully she is doing well and receiving fantastic care and Mary is wished a speedy recovery. So in supporting her on this journey Cois Cuain have set up a charity link for Cancer Care West as a thank you for helping her and helping so many others.
