Ballinrobe Town U16 girls' team who won the Mayo Cup final at United Park, Westport with a superb 2-1 victory against Ballyvary Bombers.

Dementia Café

The Dementia Cafe continues on the first Tuesday of every month in the Tacú Family Resource Centre, with the next scheduled meeting to take place on Tuesday (today), November 4, from 11am to 12.30pm. Ballinrobe Musical Society auditions

Ballinrobe Musical Society will be holding auditions for principal characters for their production of Michael Collins - A Musical Drama, in the Ballinrobe Parish Centre on Sunday, November 30. The show will feature many characters based on real historical figures, including Collins himself, Éamon de Valera, Kitty Kiernan and Harry Boland.

Described as 'The Irish Lés Misérables', Michael Collins - A Musical Drama charts Michael Collins' life from the 1916 Rising through to the Irish Civil War. The score, written by the late Bryan Flynn, features a number of rousing numbers, including 'Every Heart Awaken' and 'Fly The Flag of Freedom'.

Ballinrobe Musical Society will stage Michael Collins - A Musical Drama from Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, to Saturday, April 11, in Ballinrobe Community School.

Ballinrobe GAA Club

Well done to the Ballinrobe U21 team who recorded a slender but crucial 0-12 to 0-11 victory against Davitts on Saturday week last, in the U21 (B) Football Championship.

The match was played at Flanagan Park.

Ballinrobe Town AFC girls win cup final

The Ballinrobe Town U16 girls team recently recorded a superb 2-1 victory against Ballyvary Blue Bombers in the U16 girls Mayo Cup final, at United Park, Westport.

The goal scorers for Ballinrobe on the day were Ellen Masterson, and Sophia Place.

Well done to the Ballinrobe Community School Junor Girls team who recorded a marvellous 36-28 victory against Presentation College Headford, on Wednesday, October 22. The match was played in The Green, Ballinrobe.

Ballintubber Abbey concerts

The Celtic Strings Ensemble event is on Friday, November 14, at 8pm. Tickets are €20 and available online only. Fundraising concert and Mass is at 7pm on that evening.

November Harmonies Concert takes place on Saturday, November 22, with free admission - featuring Ballintubber Abbey Choir, Mayo Male Voice Choir and Ballinteer Male Voice Choir. Donations will be welcomed to the Abbey Preservation and Restoration Fund.

New community facilties fundraiser launched

Islandeady Community Council’s new Community Facilities Fundraiser was launched called “Win 26k for 2026” with a cash prize of €26,000 on offer. Tickets are €20 each, €50 for 3, or €100 for 7 and will be sold online and at numerous shops until February 14, 2026. All support for this fundraiser is appreciated.
