Are you wondering what present to give to a loved one this Christmas. Why not give a gift to Palestine and at the same time enjoy a unique night of heartwarming entertainment. In the birthplace of Jesus, millions of people struggle daily to survive in a land that can barely sustain life. The ‘Claremorris Palestine Solidarity Group’ group are endeavouring to provide humanitarian relief by way of medical aid to those suffering so much. The group are presenting a fundraising concert called ‘Somebody Special’ by Pat McGovern and Friends in Claremorris Town Hall Theatre, on Saturday, February 28, at 7.30pm, with all proceeds going to ‘Medical Aid for Palestine.’
Pat McGovern and Friends previously performed songs from their fund-raising CD ‘Somebody Special’ in the Claremorris Town Hall, on August 23 last, to a sold-out audience. That concert in August was in aid of the Irish Pilgrimage Trust. ‘Somebody Special’ is a CD which was recorded by Pat McGovern and a group of musician friends from Hollymount and its environs and was officially launched last April.
At this festive time, and in true Christian spirit, people supporting next February’s concert would bring some help, hope and healing to Palestine. Please reserve your tickets by visiting www.townhall.ie or call 094 9310999. Your support for this fund-raising concert would be appreciated.
