Impressive line-up announced for Christmas sports seminar in Erris

Some of the best known names in Mayo sport will be giving an insight into the lives of elite level athletes at a highly interesting sports seminar which has been arranged to take place in Erris during the forthcoming festive period.

Marie Sweeney Khalifa, who runs MSK Coaching, is a mindset and performance coach who specialises in working with athletes and helping them reach their next level, and on Thursday, December 28 the Bangor Erris native will stage a special Christmas seminar in Geesala’s Erris Coast Hotel where the theme is about athletes and sports professionals from the community educating, empowering and inspiring people in the community.

The seminar will be held in front of a live audience of athletes, sports professionals and people with a sporting interest.

Boxers Henry Coyle and Aoibhe Carabine, Ireland rugby players Fiachna Barrett and Clara Barrett, former Mayo footballer Mikie Sweeney, ex-Mayo senior football selector Martin Barrett and Kiltane footballer Pat Joe Gaughan, together with Mayo ladies footballers Maria Reilly and Kayla Doherty, and soccer player Conor Kilker, will all be among the guests.

The seminar is for athletes, parents of athletes and sports professionals alike, who are planning on having a future in sport, whether that is at local club level or at international level.

So why not come out and be empowered, educated and inspired around the journeys and experiences of sports stars from the local community on what is sure to be a memorable evening.

The seminar will run from 6pm to 9.30pm and admission is €20 for adults and €15 for under-16s.
