There was history in Westport RFC as a mother and daughter duo took to the field for the first time.
Club captain Virginia Conway, 38, and her 18-year-old daughter Kayla lined out together recently in their Connacht Women's Senior League in against Our Lady's Boys' Club (OLBC) from Galway.
The Conways played together in a dynamic centre partnership helping Westport defeat OLBC 20-0 at Corinthian Park.
Westport will now face University of Galway in the league semi-final on Sunday next at 1pm in Dangan, reigning champions Tuam/Oughterard Colts will host Sligo at Garraun Park, Tuam, in the other semi-final.
