Henry Wills to publish photographic book
Former Western People photographer Henry Wills is publishing a book of his best images.
Renowned Ballina photographer Henry Wills is to publish a collection of his best photographs.
The book, entitled 'In All Kinds of Weather', will be launched by former President of Ireland Mary Robinson at Mount Falcon Estate in Ballina on Friday, November 17.
Henry, who was a photographer with the Western People for almost half a century, captured some of the most iconic images in Mayo's history from the early 1970s up to 2020.
He covered the Papal visit to Knock in 1979, the building of Knock Airport in the early 1980s, the election of Ballina native Mary Robinson in 1990, as well as Mayo GAA's exploits for over 30 years. All of his best-known images from that period are included in the book, along with a number of previously unpublished photographs.
