Football fans 'outraged' over price of new Ireland jerseys

Football fans have described the €145 price tag of the new Ireland jersey as "ridiculous."
The 'regular fit' version is €105, while the 'pro' version costs €145. A children's top, also made by Castore, is priced at €85.
Ireland fans are also annoyed at how often the jersey design is being updated.
The boys in green are hoping to qualify for this summer's World Cup - and face Czechia in a must-win, qualifying match in Prague on March 26th.
People took to X to voice their outrage over the prices, calling it both 'ridiculous' and saying the prices were 'shocking'.
According to the official website, "The home jersey features a deep green shade with orange and white trim – representing the tricolour – with an iconic shamrock emblem positioned below the collar on the reverse of the jersey.
"The away jersey has a white base with black trim, with a light green and navy graphic design that adds a modern look. This will be matched with navy shorts and white socks."
They said that with both the men’s and women’s teams chasing World Cup qualification, they will be back wearing the same kits again in what will be a crucial year for Irish football in 2026.
