Erris rowers hold annual awards dinner

Tullaghan Bay Rowing Club held its second celebratory dinner dance in the Erris Coast Hotel, Geesala earlier this month. It was a night to remember as members came together to celebrate another successful year of rowing, achievements and friendships.

The club was delighted to welcome TD Keira Keogh and Mayo Co Council Cathaoirleach Seán Carey on the night, both of whom expressed their strong support for the club.

Matthew Keegan was voted as Tullaghan Bay Rowing Club’s ‘Rowers Rower of the Year’ while the Youth Rower of the Year award went to Sean Gallagher. Caoimhe Walsh was presented with the Special Achievement award and Lauren Cuffe was named as the ‘One to Watch’ for the upcoming season. Mary Walsh was recognised as ‘Club Person of the Year’ while certificates were presented to the club’s half-marathon rowers Richie Keane, Hugh Egan, Martina Cronin, Lorraine Keane, Sofia Gaughan, Martin Gaughan, Jonathan Deane, Kathleen Doocey, Emma Gaughan, Sean Gallagher, Caoimhe Walsh and Tony Reilly.
