Conroy picked as Mayo County Council's Udaras representative
The popular publican and undertaker will be Mayo County Council's representative on the board.
Belmullet businessman Padraig Conroy has been selected as Mayo County Council’s representative on Udaras na Gaeltachta.
Mr Conroy was selected unopposed at the monthly meeting of the local authority. He was proposed by Cllr Sean Carey, who said Mr Conroy was the ideal candidate and praised his performance in the role over the past two years. Cllr Al McDonnell seconded the proposal and Cllr Harry Barrett also threw his support behind the nomination.
