Ballyhaunis Rugby Club were one of 20 clubs to enjoy the sunshine and surrounds of Aviva Stadium on Sunday, April 21 as their youngest players took part in a day of fun-filled games at the Aviva Mini Rugby National Festival.

A total of 340 children were involved in an occasion that saw clubs from across the four provinces come together for a celebration of rugby. Those in attendance were the lucky teams who were picked to play having taken part in the Aviva Mini Rugby Provincial Festivals last year.

Since its inception, the Aviva Mini Rugby Festivals have been crucial to the rugby development of young boys and girls throughout the country, as they get the chance to play against their peers, while learning new tips and tricks, in a safe, non-competitive, and enjoyable environment. Over 2,000 children took part in the Aviva Mini Rugby Festivals in October and November 2023.
