The dates for next summer’s Ballina Salmon Festival have been confirmed.
One of the longest-running community festivals in the country, Ballina Salmon Festival will take place for the 60th time this year from July 7 to 14.
While the committee behind the festival is still hard at work on putting its schedule together, some festival staples are set to feature once more, such as the Teddy Bears Picnic, National Heritage Day and the closing night fireworks display. The River Moy Swim, a West of Ireland athletics highlight, will return once more and is penciled in for July 13, 2024, featuring a 2.5km and 750m swim.
There will be ceoil and culture all around the streets of Ballina with plenty to see for festival first-timers, as well as those who have attended every year, going right back to the first Salmon Festival in 1964.
