Ballina Braves/Team Merry Monk are inviting all those with an interest in local sport to attend their next home game against Tolka Rovers this Sunday (December 17), which is the team’s final home game before Christmas. Team Merry Monk have won every game so far in their LLR campaign and the regional league is a great tool for their younger players to develop.

The club will be holding a Christmas raffle with prizes donated by local businesses. Tickets are available as one for €5 or three for €10. Prizes include a €250 Eyre Square Hotel voucher, €100 vouchers for the Merry Monk and Ballina Chamber of Commerce, and many more.

The game itself promises to be exciting as their Dublin opponents roll into town. It gives the local community a chance to see the future of basketball in Ballina, with the likes of Nathan Roddy, Mark Cunningham or Brian O’Donoghue having recently booked their place in an All-Ireland ‘B’ Schools Final with St Muredach’s College.
