Ballina pub to fetch record price
What is probably the biggest bar in Ballina, if not in Connacht, with a massive 3,300 sq. ft. of bar space and additional bed and breakfast accommodation, is on the market. The Loft, at Pearse Street, in the heart of Ballina, has three self-contained bars and has been fully equipped and decorated to an exceptionally high standard. It has six bedrooms for bed and breakfast and these are described as “ultra luxurious”. The sale will be by private treaty and is being handled by Garrett Loftus of Garrett Loftus & Associates, Pearse Street, Ballina. The premises has good street frontage on Pearse Street and all three bars offer different atmosphere and facilities. Among the facilities in the premises is air conditioning, custom made stages while the self-contained nature of two of the bars make them ideal for private parties etc.
The Loft is only one hundred yards from the River Moy and it has side and rear entrances. The auctioneers say the premises has excellent potential for food. The overall total floor area over four levels is around 6,000 sq. ft. No guide price has been given but it is believed that the property could make in the region of £2m.
