Reductions the order of the day!

THIS week as you will know, our politicians are on their mid-term break but they are certainly basking in the glory of a whole lot of publicity last week in relation to Enda Kenny’s proposal to abolish the Seanad and reduce the number of TDs in the Dail, and also the Minister for Transport, Noel Dempsey’s, initiative of reducing the blood alcohol level for 80 to 50mg and in the case of novice drivers to 20mg, which practically introduces a zero tolerance policy.  more >

It can be very difficult for a man to come forward and admit that he is a victim of domestic abuse but the facts of the matter are that in 2005 the National Crime Council found that only 1 in 20 men reported abuse to the Gardaí.  more >
