| The Western's Advertising People
David Dwane is Commercial Director and has
been Head of Advertising at the Western People
since 1996. A native of Ballyhaunis. he is a
keen musician , and supports local music talent
from his
Ballina Recording Studio. He also writes on
property and business matters for the paper and
is a member of the council of Ballina Chamber of
Commerce.
Aidan McNulty is the face of farming in the west. During the week Aidan writes on agriculture and then at the weekend puts it
into practice by working on the family farm in
Killasser.
He is also Marketing Manager of the Western People and is a former player
for Swinford GAA.
Caroline Kearns lives in Erris and has been
with the Western People since 1998.
She is
Manager of the Classified Advertising
department.
Dymphna Harkins lives in Ballina and is based as
a senior advertising executive in the Ballina
office of the Western People.
She loves the outdoor life and enjoys taking long walks with her dog after a busy day in the office.
Lauren Kinsella has worked in the
Ballina office in advertising for the past four
years. Leaving Dublin behind she has now
made Ballina her home.
She has a keen
interest in photography and regularly enjoys
taking scenic shots around Mayo.
Carmel Tuffy, a native of Ardagh joined the
Western People as an Advertising Executive
in the Ballina office.
She now resides in Ballina
where she has been involved in activities
that her allow her to pursue her talent as
a singer.
Andrew Wilson is from Bonniconlon, and
joined the Western People advertising team
in 2004. Andrew is a keen sports enthusiast,
with a particular passion for soccer.
Kathy Armstrong Ryan is a long standing
employee of the Western People. She is
based in the Ballina office and works as a
sales executive.
Tommy Knight’s long association with the
GAA includes senior positions with the Ballina
Stephenites Club.
Tommy is also an
accomplished squash player.
Kelly McDonnell, who lives in Ballina, joined
the advertising team of the Western People
six years ago.
England-born Gary Middleton has spent all his
working life in the print and media
industry.
His many years as a Litho Graphic Planner
saw Gary working on titles like ‘Hello’ before
moving to Castlebar with his Crossmolina-born
wife in 1999. Gary heads up the advertising team
in our Castlebar office.
A native of Ballina, Seamus Smyth joined the
Western People in 2001.
Prior to this he worked in the advertising
industry in Dublin.
